Let's see! I don't think I mentioned that I'm taking an online photography class, if I did..ah well. XD
It's been going very well and has definitely helped me to open my eyes a bit more to things around me, I've been finding that some of the things he's been teaching I've instinctively thought of doing but still, it's good for it to be voiced, that way I can actually think about what I'm doing. He's mentioned several times that we should always ask ourselves before taking a picture "What will this say to my viewers? What does this speak to me?" So I've been trying to do that, I do want to communicate something through my pictures, though what I mostly try to do is share the joy of being able to see these beautiful things in God's creation. But there are other emotions behind things as well, and of course people all look at things differently. I want my pictures to show God's hand in creation, His design is evident in everything around us.
"The heavens declare the glory of God;
And the firmament shows His handiwork.
Day unto day utters speech,
And night unto night reveals knowledge.
There is no speech nor language
Where their voice is not heard.
Their line has gone out through all the earth,
And their words to the end of the world."
- Psalm 19:1-4
I've also been going to a bible study on Wednesday nights that I've actually done before it's called The Truth Project and is a video series study (Very awesome, I recommend it to you all.) Last week he talked about science and how evolutionist will say "I know this looks like it was designed but it's really not."
"It is curious that I remember well time when the thought of the eye made me cold all over, but I have got over this stage of the complaint, & now small trifling particulars of structure often make me very uncomfortable. The sight of a feather in a peacock's tail, whenever I gaze at it, makes me sick!" - Charles Darwin
This makes me sad and makes me grin at the same time. Sad because he is denying the evidence he sees, the beauty and wonder of a designed thing. Grin because God has shown Himself in all that is around us.
"For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse" Romans 1: 20
Anyways! I could go on about that, but..yeah, I'll stop there for now. XD
So yes, I'm really enjoying this photography class. ^-^
And I got more pictures uploaded! yay! Cause, I lost my thumb drive for awhile, then found it again...it was still in the library! Which..kinda shocked me, but I was very happy. XD
God Bless! ^^
